Yesterday, April 22nd, in Melzo (Milan) Sogemar and Contship Italia held the opening ceremony of the project of our Member and Councillor Dott. Sebastiano Grasso, that along the years navigated with determination among the bureaucracy difficulties with the public administrations involved. The ribbon cutting ceremony has been done together with the Contship Italia President Mrs. Cecilia Eckelmann-Battistello and the Eurokai Chairman and Councillor of the Board of Contship Italia Mr. Thomas Eckelmann. The Rail Hub Milan - RHM with its 260,000 square meters, a warehouse of 4,000 square meters and various rail tracks, places itself as an intermodal centre offering direct access at plurality of markets with a capacity that, during 2014, moved more than 250,000 TEUS. In addition to the general presentation of the new RHM Dott. Daniele Testi, Contship Italia Marketing Director, showed the “green choice” of the Company thanks to the intervention on the surrounding area that provides the restoration of two fountains, the creation of a new cycle-lane connecting two different towns and the photovoltaic panels all over the perimeter fence. Once again an entire day dedicated to the world of logistic and transports, a world that is in continuous expansion and that it is capable of creating new job places. The International Propeller Club – Port of Milan attended the ceremony with its Vice President Mr. Luca Castigliego of Sotrade S.r.l., the Former President and Councillor Eng. Eugenio Muzio of Combitec S.r.l., the Secretary Mr. Paolo Federici of Fortune S.r.l., the Councillor Mr. Fausto Benzi of Cason S.p.a., the Councillor Mr. Claudio Franconi of M.G.A. Marine & General underwriting Agency S.r.l., the Councillor Mr. Francesco Larizza of LC Larizza Consulting S.r.l., the Councillor Mr. Federico Prestileo of Effepierre Multiservizi S.r.l., the Junior Representive Mr. Alessio Franconi of Euroleges and the Secretary of the Club Mrs. Lodovica Capponi. The opening celebration ended after a lunch and an altogether toast to the new Rail Hub Milano.
